Projects
I've always been a real jack-of-all-trades and love working across disciplines. For me, poetry encompasses so much more than just the meaning of written or spoken language; it also includes rhythm and melody, facial expressions and gestures of performance.
Aside from having successfully championed international and multilingual exchange within the slam scene for years, I also love collaborating with musicians and ensembles.
Furthermore, I am a passionate theorist of film poetry and find it incredibly appealing to combine poetry with sound and image – be it in the form of poetry film projects or video shows. Poetry can be so much more than just the written word!
Together with SLAMKOLLEKTIV, I'm organizing this year's Poetry Slam European Championship, which will take place in Graz from November 19th to 21st, 2026. Thirty champions will compete in two semi-finals at the Next Liberty Children's and Youth Theatre. The top ten will then showcase their talents in the grand finale and will represent Europe at the Poetry Slam World Championship in Tokyo, Japan, in 2027. I'll be co-hosting the opening ceremony on November 19th with my colleague Yannick Steinkellner, and I'm delighted to welcome Elif Duygu as my co-host for the grand finale.
A free live stream including synchronized translations in German and English brings the international live literature event to living room couches worldwide.
For many years, I have been involved in various projects promoting cross-border exchange within the slam poetry scene, and since 2019 I have acted as a liaison between Austria and the international scene, particularly in the context of European and World Championships. This includes serving as Austria's official representative in the World Poetry Slam Organization and as co-moderator of the 2021 European Poetry Slam Championship and the 2022 World Championship in Brussels. Therefore, I am especially pleased to be hosting the 2026 European Championship in Austria for the first time in its history.
Historical music and modern poetry, harmoniously interwoven in various concert programs. An all-female ensemble consisting of musicians Jule Bauer and Laura Jörres, musicologist Johanna Kloser, and performance poet Katharina Wenty.
"Here, antiquity meets modernity, psyche meets physique, life meets death. Text and music join hands, skillfully intertwining in dances, so that poetry emerges from the interplay of both. This interaction explores those differences that become interdependencies. Boundaries are touched, questioned, and overcome together."

Multilingual (English, German, Italian, Sardinian) Video-Poetry Performance Live Show - Duet with the Italian poet Sergio Garau.
"Voices, languages, and texts merge into a soundscape and visual landscape of anthropic annihilation. A social and dreamlike poetics flows between haikus about video games and prayers to plastic. A rhythm from the unrestrained to the fragile, from the melancholic to the martial, explores the pain and unconsciousness of an increasingly shattered environment."
